Mortal Kombat V (2000)  is the fifth game in the Mortal Kombat series and the last game in the series to be available on the arcade version. It was updated into Mortal Kombat Platinum and Mortal Kombat V: Special EditionMK Platinum's story overrides MKV. It is one of the few 3D fighting games to have been described as having "2D gameplay".
